A vowel a consonant goes here
To make the rhythm flow so clear
Stories and songs to you it sings
Oh rhymes are really playful things
A hint of mystery and some rhyme
To write it it takes quite some time
Joy and laughter to you it brings

When you are in some kind of strife
Write about spring or wings or flings

They're just few words that sound the same
Who knew they were so hard to tame?
Creating tiny words in strings

It really has been a long while
Since I last saw this side of you
I just have time to catch the smile
With fleeting love that passes through
You snicker when you see me fall
Can never do it like you do
The way you see right through my wall

I know you will never return
The feelings that I feel for you
But for your smile I deeply yearn

Sky of Stars
The cool breeze whispers on my cheek
On the smooth sand I dare not speak
By the ocean looking afar
Staring into a sky of stars
Looking out at the vast ocean
The waves calm raging emotions
I know this sounds a bit bizarre
Staring into a sky of stars
There's miles and miles of deep blue sea
And birds and critters roam so free
There's me and my lonely guitar
Staring into a sky of stars
It’s not bad just sitting out here
Watching stars slowly disappear
It’s nearly dawn yet I'm still scarred

Make Amends
What happened to make it this way
I never thought I'd see the day
I know that you were once my friend
I really want to make amends
Remember playing in the sand
After a while you grabbed my hand
I couldn't even comprehend
I really want to make amends
I know the past is haunting you
Yet why can't we just start anew
Hopeful letters to you I send
I really want to make amends
I will never give up you know
Through winter gales and rain and snow
The wait’s worth it I won’t pretend
I really want to make amends
For you I know these times are hard
Many times you’ve been deeply scarred
I’ll wait forever to be friends
I really want to make amends

Crumbling Wall
She glaring as she stands up to
The man who knocked her in the hall
But you can't see it like I do
The crumbling smile behind the wall
She opens her big mouth to say
Do you watch where you're going at all?
He doesn't notice nor do they
The crumbling smile behind the wall
Down she bends to pick up her things
Holding the tears about to fall
Hiding in plain sight with the ring
The crumbling smile behind the wall
She walks away grumbling madly
Slowly walks away from it all
She hides it well I think sadly
